Brent, it's not clear how you did this, but I'll share what I do.  I edit
/etc/named/records directly, typically by doing a search/replace of IP
addresses using the program rpl http://www.laffeycomputer.com/rpl.html and
then running /usr/admserv/cgi-bin/.cobalt/dns/index.cgi to regenerate the
zone files.

You could be right, but that shouldn't be an issue since the glue record
points the name server hostname to the IP and any zones (domains) which use
the name server should point to the name server hostname, not an IP address.
In any case, doing this type of migration is an issue if there's ever the
possibility that *all* reachable authoritative name servers will point to
invalid IPs.  If this is a possibility, it can be preferable to change their
IPs one at a time so you know there's at least one that's accurate since
machines will cycle through your listed authoritative name servers until one
that's reachable is located.
