Subject: [cobalt-users] RaQ3-en-OSUpdate-5.0.pkg, server down after install
Just went and installed the RaQ3-en-OSUpdate-5.0.pkg, download from
Sun. Waited 45 minutes for re-boot button to come up, it didn't. So I
re-loaded installer page which showed the update as loaded and had all
the 'Obsoletes Previous Updates' removed from the list.
Re-booted and server never came back on-line, contacted NetNation's
great 24/7 support who had noticed it wasn't responding to pings. They
rebooted server a few times... It seems to reboot OK and has host name
and IP address configured through the LCD, but is completely dead to
the network.
Only entry in /var/log/messages:

Does anyone please have a clue?
I would say people should possibly hold off installing update until any
issues have been sorted... I'm just too eager and stupid...
