Declan, you may want to try the archive search interface at
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=cobalt-users.  It's more reliable, the
search interface is more flexible and it's faster.  As an added bonus the
interface allows searches across several hundred technical mailing lists
individually or jointly (very useful).
