If you have lots of free time, here's a little request:
I need to get a community calendar on our webpage (www.nomealaska.org -
which is presently residing on another ISP host). I want to allow
community members to log in and update the calendar. Of course I need to
control who logs in, but I want them to be able to do stuff pretty much
automatically (with out my help).
I've been looking at : http://open.appideas.com/Calendar/
but would really like it to look like:
http://www.massillongateway.com/calendar/index.html
but without frames.
I'm open to other ideas.
The first one requires php and mysql. I started by trying to install
mysql and I got error messages because when I installed webmin, it
installed its version of mysql. It has a nice gui for managing a
database so might be nice to keep it. But I'm a beginner on this and
haven't figured it all out. I suppose when I install the calendar there
will be a way to tell it where the mysql resides. I haven't yet
attempted to install php.
I'm doing all this to make sure I don't break anything before bringing
over the website to the raq4r. I've got a test domain set up at
www.nomecity.org to play around with.
If I didn't have a ton of work I could take some time and figure all
this out, but I'm swamped and find it would be very handy to have some
kind of package.
Cheers,
