Had a Raq4r decide to quit functioning this morning in the wee hours and
upon initial inspection it felt unusually warm in comparison to another
identical RA4R. The fans had recently been replaced and were blowing full
force but seem much warmer than the other RAQ4R.
Any way I was unable to establish a local terminal connection via cable and
notebook as I have in the past and it also refused to sutdown or do anything
from the control buttons near the LCD so I ended up holding my breath and
turning the power off.
I let the unit set for maybe 5-10 minutes and fired it back up and removed
the cover. It came back up without problem but I have for the time being
decided to leave the cover off of it to try and keep it cooler.
The question:
==============================
Is there a log file some where that would show what the last activities were
prior to the manual shut down and might they also tell me how hot the unit
was getting??
Any other ideas or thoughts as to assisting me in trying to determine what
caused the crash would be appreciated.
Thanks!!
FYI - The fans are blowing the correct direction.
