1. Trade secondary DNS with others
2. Sign up with a DNS company.

You want to have geographically diverse DNS on multiple machines.

Some DNS providers offer what is known as anycast DNS, where
multiple machines (usually in multiple locations) appear to the
outside world as a single machine.  If one location fails,
traffic is rerouted to the others.

Note that #2 comes in many different sizes and shapes.  Factors
to consider include:

1. Management interface
2. Cluefulness of the company
3. Price.

I know of several companies that offer this.  Some are list
members; others are not.
