[cobalt-users] [RAQ4] sendmail aliases

I'm setting up an email handler for a piece of software, and the instructions say to alter /etc/aliases - which we don't have... so what is the cobalt replacement for /etc/aliases, and how do I make sure my alteration doesn't get messed up by the GUI when I next add an email address?
The change they suggest is:
username: "|/path/to/emailhandler.php"
The other methods of handling email don't appear to work on the RAQs either, as lynx complains that it can't clear the screen and exits when run via cron (not exactly ideal, as that method required a * * * * * crontab entry to continual updating).
