No. I suggested installing openssl in a non-standard location using
the --prefix parameter in the ./configure step of the install. If you do
so, the existing openssl files on the server will not be touched. I hope
that answers your question.

Before I (or anyone else) answer this, do you really mean openssl? After
all, if you still want to install curl with ssl support there's no need to
re-install openssh since it has nothing to do with the other two.
