The thought process was to eventually end up with a single "active"
payload on all x86-based platforms, thus easing the burden on support
and sustaining engineering, while also giving "older" hardware owners
a "refresh"... unfortunately, too many internal changes, reorgs, etc
happened and the project was never given proper support.

It's on the OSRCD you can download.

The major changes on the 550 are: 2.4 kernel, XFS journal file system,
built-in JSP support (works like ASP, PHP, etc with a checkbox per
site to enable), multiple administrator capability and built-in SHP
(auto port scan detection and buffer overflow protection). Plus some
other minor tweaks...
But the fact that the install _could_ blow up and waste the server
doesn't give _me_ the warm fuzzies... :)
