[cobalt-users] htaccess on raq 550

Hi,

I'm using a raq 550 but normal htaccess files i was using on my raq 3 and
raq 4 servers aren't working

according to the knowledgebase i have to use this .htaccess file

AuthName "restricted stuff"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /home/sites/sitename/.htpasswd
require valid-user


when i use that (after i created a htpasswd file)

the errorlog (/home/log/httpd/error) gives me this one

[Thu Nov 21 22:04:43 2002] [error] access to
/home/.sites/123/site46/web/directory failed for xx.xx.xx.xx, reason:
AuthPamExternal [/usr/lib/authenticate]: Failed (1) for user bas

when i add auth_pamenable off to the htaccess file i get a configuration
error

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable
to complete your request. Your administrator may not have enabled CGI access
for this directory.

anyone a solution ?
