Hi all,
I wanted to reset all my logfiles since there have been some problems
with Webalizer and the logging itself on my Raq3.
So I went to /var/log/httpd (which is a link to /home/log/httpd)
and deleted the access files and created them with touch access again.
Anyway now I get some 2 error messages every day :
Subject : ron <root@www> run-parts /etc/cron.daily
META vacuum - FAIL: ERROR: mdopen: couldn't open quota: No such file or
directory
and the next mail :
Subject : errors rotating logs
stat of /var/log/httpd/combined-access failed: No such file or directory
So I went to the Knowledge Base and there were 2 scripts I could run to test
the logrotate.
Some path and then /lograte -f and some other script I don't remember right
now.
Anyway these scripts didn't gave me any error. Anyone know which file I
might have
missed to create again, or what else could be the problem ?
Maybe someone knows a way to completly reset the logfiles so that the OS
create new ones.
Thx in advance
