RE: [cobalt-users] Raq550: Web Server is not running

Hello,

We also had this problem after installing a patch from the Cobalt web
site on our RAQ550, about a week ago.
The local Cobalt support guy here in (QLD) Australia said that he
uninstalled a patch, rebooted, and it worked. However, he kinda did it
for us, and we don't know which patch it was that caused it.

So I know it's probably not the best answer, but uninstalling one of the
recent patches will fix it.

Cheers,
Andy.

HELP!

I rebooted my computer because the command line of
"/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart" AND I get the following message.
Shutting down Web Service: httpd ok
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd: line 3: 2057 Killed
$LCD_SWRITE "$LINE1" "$LINE2" >/dev/null 2>&1
Setting up Web Service: httpdchiliasp: config directory not set yet,
aborting.

So I tried to restart the Raq550 from the command line and I even
manually rebooted the Raq550 but now I get "The Web Server is not
running and could not be restarted. Try rebooting the server by clicking
the Reboot Now button in the Power menu under System Settings. If you
are still unable to access the Web Server, please visit
http://www.sun.com/service/online/ for technical support."

Support? I think it is a cruel joke.

How do I get the web server running again?

John
