Thanks Dan, I just tried again to see if I was doing something silly and
it seems I was!
I had been enabling 'web access by domain' in both virtual sites so I
believe the problem was that they were both trying to alias to
mydomain.tld which would cause problems. I was sure it should be a
simple thing to do and now I know it is! :-)
