What an interesting thread.  It's brough out so many sides of the issue,
from the "The Hell with Sun" folks to the strident supporters of the big
company.

What's so very interesting is that if Sun had taken the time to support
its customer base, and issued updates to the RaQ software, Gerald wouldn't
have had any motivation to produce the CD's.

If Sun didn't treat us all like expendable one-time customers, more of us
would be thrilled with the products.

If we were really supported, there would be no discussions between members
of this list to create alternative mechanisms and lists to support what
Sun doesn't.

As another list member stated, the fear is that Sun could stop making the
OSRCD's available for free.

Perhaps Sun is upset because they didn't come up with something so easy to
market to a captured group of customers.
