Hi lists,
The Qbalt project is now up and running, and I've been working on a
bunch of RPM's for XTR units - lack of time due to heavy work though
doesn't help :-(
A reminder for those who don't know what it is - Qbalt aims to
initially provide completely free (GPL) packages for current cobalt
users, and eventually an alternative "Restore CD" to completely reload
the units with our own customised distrib (Debian looks like a good
choice, so far) - complete with a cobalt-like web interface, which will
expand to hopefully be even more extensive and powerful then the
current Sun offering.
The drive behind this is that we feel our units could be a lot more
capable/secure then they currently are.
The thing is, we need other developers ;-) If you've had experience
with packaging, documentation, Cobalt hardware, or simply have good
ideas, we'd love you to join us.
The project URL is here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/qbalt/
There's also a mailing list:
http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/qbalt-developers
Send me a private email with your sourceforge account if you have one,
and I'll add you to the project developers page.
Lets make this happen people!
