Yes, I had both machines turned off, booted up the PC from the CD-ROM,
approved the license, followed the instructions......
Server simply sticks at "Loading Kernel" for over 15 minutes......
I can order one of the approved cards on the list today, but I would
like to know if this one will work because of the close similarities
in the model number.....

If the PC boots and doesn't display a 'no valid network card was found' message, then thats not your problem.
When you boot the cobalt unit up, you're holding down the S key arent you?? Then it asks how to boot, press S until is shows FROM NET and press E to continue?
