Re: [cobalt-users] procmail antivirus pkg

Hi Jake,

Thanks for such a thoughtful effort.

<snip-from the site>
It simply strips the most common virusprone files, does a little added
rule-checking and mails recipient and sender about the possibility of virus.
<snip>

Does it do wonders? I don't get how it works. Do correct me if I'm wrong in
that it scans for attachment types and no cumbersome heuristics involved
like looking up the virus definitions as is done by other good anti-virus
packages.

Few questions : Does it cleans too/quarantine only? So what if attachment is
genuine? No goofups (or are there false alarms too)? Are there any updates
required?

Please guide me on this.

And guys any testimonials....please do give if you have any.

Cheers

Arminder Singh
