Re: [cobalt-users] Installed MailScanner and had some interesting observations

I installed MailScanner 3.21-1 last week on a Raq4 and found that it seems
very reliable in detecting viruses. However, I have only seen it label 1 out

function and how to utilize it.

One other item I have noted is that none of the email brought in via the POP3
feature is scanned (Email's from additional external email accounts). Has
anyone else noticed that and/or did I miss something in the
setup/configuration that would allow all POP3 retrieved email's to be scanned?

Mine are all scanned. Did you look at the config file?

/home/opt/MailScanner/etc/mailscanner.conf

Make sure you have it set to put notifications in the email. There are many things you can change, such as deleting virus' or replacing them or just cleaning them.

Download the file, look it over and make the changes you want on your server.
