Hi,
I've moved from a RaQ2 to a RaQ4, and all is well except for the SSL which runs on one virtual site with its own ip. I researched the procedure for transfer thoroughly before the move, but I can't seem to get the certificate to transfer. First, I created the self-signed certificate through the GUI, then entered my info and copied my real cert, again through the GUI. Got a key mismatch error. So I telnetted in and copied the old cert and key to the appropriate directory, ensuring that ownership remained root. I'm still getting a key error and no pages load. When I created the SSL key on the RaQ2, the key was encrypted with a password, but the RaQ4 seems to have no provision for this. I was told by someone this may have something to do with it. I'm stuck.
It seems I have followed the recommended procedure, but it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to successfully transfer a Thawte certificate from a RaQ2 to a RaQ4?
Thanks,
Julie
