Hey All,
I'm just wondering what the major hardware differences are between the
Raq3i, Raq4r, and Raq-XTR are? I have a 3i, which I just updated with the
4i OS disk. Could I conceivably add another disk to get a raid-enabled set-up (4r)?
I know from looking inside, that my 3i doesn't have two IDE cable-slots on the
motherboard. RAID probably can't be done through the same IDE cable I'm guessing?
What if I added a PCI-SCSI card and an external disk for RAID?
Could I replace the original CPU for more speed also?
In other words, I'm looking to "mod it out" or hot-rod it... without too much
danger to frying it...? Any suggestions?
Theo
