[cobalt-users] Interbase questions

Thanks in advance for your patience with me as I possibly ask questions that
have been answered before, although I have spent 14 hours in the archives.

RAQ4 all patches installed.
Interbase (classic), test database created and responding.
My question is finding a gui tool to make working with Interbase easier.
Everything I have tried so far, IBConsole, IBExpert, IBAccess all fail to
connect to the services manager, and this I believe is normal as the classic
version of Interbase installed on a RAQ does not support services.

Should a gui tool be an impossibility, and here comes the dumb question, is
it practical/possible to create a database locally and load it to the RAQ?
Could I then bring down the database from the remote RAQ to my local
environment for occasional tweaking?

ALL suggestions gratefully received although please refrain from the 'lost
passport, stuffed monkey, and exploding toilet seat jokes'.
