Thanks for the responses.

A related question: virtusertable indicates that mail will be received
"@www.tld.com". Will mail also be received "@tld.com"?

DNS points "www.tld.com" and "tld.com" to the same IP and the MX
record is set correctly as well.

Other than setting up the "email aliases" in the GUI, is there anything
else that needs to be set?
