hi
I want to have my user to be able to logon to the rootaccount on my
RaQ3's without password (from one RaQ to another).
I have generated an rsa key on both machines:
keygen -t rsa
and copied the contents of ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub to
/root/.ssh/authorized_keys on the other machine.
(copied it both to the local machine(A) and to the remote machine(B))
Now I want to test it
ssh root@localhost
this works fine (no password)
then I want to test on the remote host B:
ssh root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
now it asks for a password.
I have checked the /etc/ssh/sshd_config on both machines and they look
the same (both containing: PermitEmptyPasswords yes)
Any ideas of what the problem can be? (the servers are not updated with
the same packages so maybe this can be a problem?)
