there is a nifty core function of squirrelmail called the MOTD, maybe
you've heard of this?  mine reads:

wait a minute. are you saying that your raq still has its warranty? sm has something just like a typical shell account has. you know /etc/motd . . . . . hmm, interesting. you think that's air your breathing? (had to make the matrix reference, sorry, its early, i'm tired). its the same idea as the message of the day in unix systems. and now you know, in fact, its a main option (number 7 i think) in the ./configure program for squirrelmail.

oh, i didn't mention it before, but sm has a command line gui for configuration, outstanding. just go to the sm directory and type

./configure

greatly simplifies matters.

the reply to address is right at the top.  maybe this would
be a rather
technical fix to the problem, but i have no complaints thus far.

The Reply-to: and the From: address are vastly different. Try
subscribing to this list using an email address that is different from
the From: address.


you're absolutely right. however, sm allows you to change both. options, personal prefs.
