as for the return address, the default will be the username (i believe), however, there is a global preference for that in the options, general preferences, reply to address.IIRC, that breaks some list mail. Some admins supply random user namesfor security. e.g., customer initials and a random series of letters andnumbers. Not what you would want to appear in the From: portion of an email.
there is a nifty core function of squirrelmail called the MOTD, maybe you've heard of this? mine reads:
"Welcome to the New and Improved Revengers Hosting Webmail. There are numerous new features. Just click on the Options link above to personalize your webmail. Email any questions or comments to grant@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx . Enjoy!"
the reply to address is right at the top. maybe this would be a rather technical fix to the problem, but i have no complaints thus far.
gsps. ok guys, i've set up this demo, just for you, on a parked domain. just go to www.rovingfridays.com/mail/ and login as b1gc0ba1t pass: t6r5e4
i'll keep it running for a few days. no funny business. this is what a first time user gets as their default. enjoy!
