forget openwebmail! i just wrapped work on the vlogin plugin for
squirrelmail. it is now ready for heavy duty virt host duty. allows
you to set data directories serverwide (ie
/home/sites/www.###virtualdomain/data for example) as well as automatic
host detection. all from a single copy. yes, it removes the www
from aliases as well. login with user@xxxxxxxxxx or regular login with
username and pass. its really sweet.
all that's left is wrapping up the documentation and picking a version
number (maybe 2.4 maybe 3 :). should all be done at the end of the week.
if you want a pre-release copy get one here:
ftp://ftp.revengers.org/pub/cobalt/vlogin-2.4-pre.tgz
with any luck, this will be a pkg install (with colin's help) sometime
this month.
what's your take on a sm pkg? anyone else out there want to volunteer
to help make the pkg?
just need to write some slick shell scripts to make the aliases,
directories and such.
