Re: [cobalt-users] [RaQ4] FYI: Apache & SSL Update 2.0.1

We just upgraded one of our Raq4's with the new Raq4 security package. Here
is what we did. BTW this machine is a Raq3 with a Raq4 transplant,
PKGMaster's OpenWebMail, SSH, PHP 4.1.2, Steve Bassi's Mailscanner as the
only additions to the box. We had Solar Speeds OpenSSL patch and we are one
of the unfortunates that installed the SHP from Sun/Cobalt.

I uninstalled Solar Speed's OpenSSL package and then installed the latest
Raq4 update: RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-2-15787.pkg, this went in fine. We next
installed the Chili!Soft update for ASP:
ftp://download.chilisoft.com/pub/chiliasp/cobalt/raq4/RaQ4-chiliasp362-2.pkg
and then proceeded to reinstall Solar Speeds OpenSSL package:
http://www.solarspeed.net/freebies/RaQ4-mod_ssl-2.8.4.pkg

Everything has rebooted fine, servers are running, web and admin. I even
rebooted the box just to see if it would do the reboot without issue.
Everything went perfect, well Sun/Cobalt perfect.

When I do
OpenSSL
<OpenSSL> version
 I get
<OpenSSL> 0.9.6b [engine] 9 Jul 2001

When I hit Netcraft I get

Apache/1.3.20 Sun Cobalt (Unix) Chili!Soft-ASP/3.6.2 mod_ssl/2.8.4
OpenSSL/0.9.6g PHP/4.1.2 mod_auth_pam_external/0.1 FrontPage/4.0.4.3
mod_perl/1.25

So what do I have for OpenSSL??

<IGNORE THIS IF YOU LOVE SUN/COBALT>
This whole Sun/Cobalt fiasco of releasing updates month(s) or in some cases
it seems NEVER is getting to a point that someone or some group should bring
Sun/Cobalt in to explain why this is. I appreciate having a Raq server,
there're cute and do a load of wash in half the time, but still we as
consumers should start expecting our rights. I probably should take my rant
to the off topic Cobalt list but we all have a stake in how Sun/Cobalt is
treating us.
<OKAY DONE RANTING-CARRY ON, NOTHING TO SEE HERE:>
