sorry for the top post, that message is just too long.

i think you may have a physical failure of either your ethernet card or 
your new ram.  i had similar issues with some new ram that were 
resolved by my ram supplier (who IMHO, RULZ!) by replacing the bad ram 
with some nice new ram.

have you tried booting the raq with a module that you know for sure 
works??

isn't the ethernet onboard? i don't know what to do if your ethernet 
card is bad, but sounds like u need a new raq.   i can point you to the 
person i got mine from (who sold me the ram too) if you wanna say hello 
off list.
