The limited instructions I was able to locate suggested that the
logcheck.ignore was the place to edit to remove unwanted entries. The
logcheck.violations and logcheck.violations.ignore were not mentioned, nor
their responsibility for determining the content of the first section of the
email. I can only assume that others, including Michael, have gone down the
same path, editing the wrong file and still seeing output. Re-edits and
list/archive suggestions all fail when put in the wrong place<g>.
Michaels original post only stated that he had tried the entries in the
'ignore file'. We all may have assumed different files: logcheck.ignore v.
logcheck.violations.ignore.
