You cannot update PHP and not void the warranty.
This is because there are several modules for PHP that are from Cobalt that
will not work with any version besides 4.0.6. Until Sun gets a new version
out the only other option is to load 2 versions of PHP on the server and
have the admserv httpd instance run against the 4.0.6 version and the main
httpd instance running against the new version.
I've done it with success search the archives for the instructions.
