Yes, that is what should occur, but I'm saying it does
NOT on my machine.

I get:

X-Powered-By: PHP/4.0.6

Arg Count: 


I'm assuming it has something to do with me having
version 4.0.6, and you having 4.1.2. I'm running PHP
on a cobalt server, so there's no chance for an
upgrade...so is there something I can modify in my
config to make it work?
