Hmmm ... not necessarily the problem, but I've only ever had problems when
I've performed updates via the internet.  I believe its better to preload
the update and then install the update from localhost.  Probably not really
an issue for small updates, but for big ones ...

Not sure if reapplying an updated will achieve the desired result, but I
guess its worth a try.
