I have no problem accessing https://www.lawfirm.com/step1.html
Shows the "lock" icon. Properties show "This certificate is OK."
Running IE6 WinXP Pro.
No problem in NS 6.2 or NS 4.79
If your friend is on AOL maybe someone knows of some problem there.
