Hi,
I've recently encountered a problem with my RAQ4. For whatever reason,
my site list does not show up in the GUI. I also get an email stating
that the "the PostgreSQL server is not responding" .
I have tried to restart postgres with no luck.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
[root init.d]# ./postgresql start
Setting up PostgreSQL: no database files found. creating...
You cannot run initdb as root. Please log in (using, e.g., 'su')
as the (unprivileged) user that will own the server process.
failed!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I did have database files at one point but I tried recreating
the site list using a script from another post:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
echo "Forcing permission 01777 on /home/tmp"
chmod 01777 /home/tmp
echo ""
echo "Rebuilding Postgresql configuration"
mv /var/lib/pgsql /var/lib/headache.pgsql
echo ""
echo "(Re)Starting Postgresql"
/etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql restart
echo ""
echo "Reconstructing the home site"
/usr/local/sbin/meta-verify -f -s -v -i
echo ""[root admin]# ./fix_sitelist.sh
Forcing permission 01777 on /home/tmp
--------------------------------------------------------------------
But when I run this script as root I get the following error:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Rebuilding Postgresql configuration
mv: /var/lib/headache.pgsql/pgsql: cannot overwrite directory
