I am curious if I can do this and if the knowledgeable can warn me of
potential pitfalls.
I am running a RaQ XTR. I want to build Squid (compile the code my
self ) and run a reverse or rewriting proxy. The traditional
instructions from the squid list are to move your existing web server
to port 80 on the loopback address, 127.0.0.1 and use the http_accel
option while running squid on port 80 of the exposed to the world ip
address.
I'd like to set it up on a virtual host, so that from outside, if you
typed in http://proxy.myurl.org you would have all the URLs rewritten
by the proxy after you were authenticated.
Anyone every do anything like that??
