Yes, after sending this link I've red it also -
there is no clue about PASV. Check this link
that _may_ help you:
http://www.castaglia.org/proftpd/doc/contrib/ProFTPD-mini-HOWTO-NAT.txt

This link seems to be also good:
http://linux.tnc.edu.tw/techdoc/proftpd-userguide/userguide.html

It is very difficult to me analyze network problem without
knowledge of your network and actions you do.
I think that more information you read about ProFTPD,
then you understand your situation more clear.
---------------------------------

As I've already pointed out this problem has nothing to do with
my network nor with proftpd. This is strictly an FTP _client_ problem.
From the same Raq550 I can use a perl script with Net::FTP to get the file.

I've solved my problem, at least I thinj I have -- by coping the version
of /usr/bin/ftp from my Raq3 to my RaQ550. No more goint into
passive mode.
