I'm in the process of migrating froma co-loc'ed RaQ3 to an "in-house"
RaQ550 and I'm have a strange problem with the FTP client on my RaQ550.
I can connect and logon fine (through a scrreening router) from the RaQ550
to the RaQ3 but when I try to do a "get", I get a message saying: "Entering
passive mode" and the FTP clinet hangs. Coing from the other direction,
everything works fine.
I'm using the pre-installed FTP software on the Raq550 and the only change
I've
made to the proftpd.conf is the SITE_CHMOD change. To try to figure out
my problem I ran FTP in verbose mode. On the RaQ3 when I do a "get" command
I see it doing a PORT command followed by a RECV command. On the RaQ550
when I do a "get" command it issues a PASV command. I suspect the hang may
be
due to a configuration problem with the screening router but I can't figure
out why
the RaQ550 is doing a PASV command to begin with.
Are there any FTP protocol gurus out there or anyone with experience in
using the
FTP client on a RaQ550?
