Okay, so I just did this, and the CPAN thing went to upgrade my perl.
What happens to me if I let that puppy run? Does everything on the
qube to to hell?

I did an upgrade of my Bundle::CPAN and the same thing happened to me
but I'm still running. It was a bit of suprize that it upgraded perl to
5.8. My box is a RaQ3 but my WAG is that you're probably OK. You could
read the 5.8 release notes but it would surprise me if any perl code
you had on your Qube wouldn't run exactly the same as it did before. The
majordomo code that is on the box is perl 4.somthing and it still works
correctly.
