RE: [cobalt-users] after Apache chunk upgrade lost everything

David,

We had to downgrade this Apache patch from Cobalt back
to the Kernel 2.2.16C28XX variety after having continual
problems with intermittent ethernet contact and then a final
'dump' of this particular Server altogether. This is on a
RaQ4r, but I'm being told it's this revision in general
driving everyone insane.

The List here had posts from folks trying the patch
after it was released, and then having continual problems
resulting in downgrading. While I read and understood those
posts, for some reason I felt compelled to give it a shot on
this particular Server in the cluster. NO MORE!

My suggestion is to work with your co-lo or dedicated
support (if you can't perform it from remote) and downgrade
the Kernel until a new, fixed patch is every released by
Sun/Cobalt!
