The Original Seagate 40gb model number is st340810a, although we also use
the Maxtor 40gb drives with no problem. We also use the Western Digital and
Quantium Drives, but not in large quantities though.
You should stay with a 5400rpm drive and not use the 7200rpm drives.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Seagate Hard drive Part Number
Hello all,
I have searched the archives and was not able to locate an actual Seagate or
other hard drive part number for an 40gb, or larger hard drive to replace
the existing drive in a RaQ4i.
If any of you have a favorite drive you like, that works well with the
RaQ4i, would you pass on a part number for it?
Thanks for your help!
