To get the memory, type:
cat /proc/meminfo
and it'll give you a readout showing physical and swap memory available/used/total.
As for slots, from memory here, there are typically 2 on the RaQ's, one for the currently loaded memory, and the second spare for upgrade (Though i'd need to double-check this for raq4)
