Since you've been digging around swatch, can you tell me how things work on
a Qube3?

I recently had a gateway failure and my Qube3 didn't tell me.  It wasn't
really the Qubes fault ... the problem was that my telco "cut" the wire
while conducting another install so I lost my link ... hence the gateway was
operational, but there was nothing on the other side.

What I'd like to do is monitor the gateway address at my ISP rather than the
internal address on my gateway device.
