You're right about the developers list but I don't see why Debian won't
install on the box. The biggest problem is remot einstalling it unless
you can get it back to work on it yourself.

Any reason why debian won't install? (on the RaQ4 I'm looking at)

No problems there. It's an x86 machine running a nice old kernel

2. cat /proc/pci
SCSI storage controller: NCR 53c875
Ethernet controller: Intel 82559ERa

Doesn't look to be any problems ther either.
