Hi,
We are using Cobalt Qube 3 as an email server.
It seems that someone used our server to spam others servers.
We suspect that this was done while WebCaching feature on Cobalt Qube 3
was ON.
Now we turned WebCaching OFF and spam ceased.
My questions are:
1. If this is a Squid bug -
Do we need to obtain an Squid upgrade from SUN (Squid current version is
squid-2.3.STABLE4.10)
or we have to add some additional rule to the firewall input rule chain
and close squid port?
2. If we enable WebCaching feature, The Basic Firewall is enabled
automatically and 4 rules are created
into Firewall input rule chain.
Why SUN doesn't create automatically all the rules necessary for the
secure WebCaching operation?
