RE: [cobalt-users] Qube2 and 2nd Drive

Thanks for the input..

I decided last night to pull the cover off of one of them and found out that
they only have one connector on the system board for a hard drive. I know
on the Raq3/4's that there are 2 separate connectors.

Anyone one know if a standard 2-drive cable like used in a typical PC would
work or is there something about Cobalt/Sun server that they can only use
one drive per connector on the system board??

Also.. I attempted to setup this Qube2 as a NASRaq2 but it seemed to keep
failing to boot I'm assuming because the NASRaq's require 2 drives. Am I
correct about this or was there maybe something wrong with the ISO image I
used?? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Jerry

Sorry, I don't know. Don't own a Qube.

I'm guessing it would be the same as the boot drive. Limited to <=30 gigs
because of the kernel.

You could restore them as Raq2's for virtual hosting or dedicated mail, dns
machines.
