This is happening on both machines?
You have them both set with the same name?
sure you aren't making a change in your manual changes that effects it?

The machines have different names, but are within the same "domain"....one is named ns1, the other ns3.......and it does happen to both boxes.....the manual change does not affect what's in th GUI as far as I can tell - I even made sure that NO manual changes were made to either machines' resolv.conf files after making changes in the GIU. Am I correct in assuming that the "Sun Cobalt Server Name" should _not_ change?


Mine doesn't and hasn't in 2 years.
I also have never been in the resolv.conf files nor many others.
I also don't run dns on my Raq
