Hi Yah,
Just checked my server and got the following...
[root@ns admin]# locate libssl
/usr/lib/libssl.so.0
/usr/lib/libssl.a
/usr/lib/libssl.so
/usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.6
[root@ns admin]#
[root@ns admin]# rpm -qa|grep openssl
apache-openssl-1.3.6-C12
openssl-0.9.6-1
openssl-devel-0.9.6-1
[root@ns admin]#
Being still green behind the ears I take it that there are no dynamically
linked modules/software using OpenSSL on this server.
To upgrade this it should be straight forward enough, download and build
the latest versions - am I correct? Or will it screw up Apache and what's
openssl-devel ? Or am safe enough to wait until Sun Cobalt get their patch
out?
Sorry for seeming a bit dippy but this is the first time for updating
something like ssl so please be gentle don't want to screw up a production
machine:)
Regards
Chae
