Actually you don't have to do a full blow restore. You can just resize the /home partition on the working drive. I did this recently. Search the archives for my first name and the word "experience" and you'll find my post which includes instructions for resizing. Sun's statement about the Restore CD is incorrect....I used a restore CD that was only ordered a week or so ago and it STILL recognizes a 40GB drive as 5GB. FYI.

I have other problems now. Before my time here, someone ran the restore cd on that unit. In summary, I have been told by Sun Cobalt that we had a bad restore cd, and that is why the dual 40GB drives are recognized as 5.6GB. Being my first intro to Cobalt, I assumed they actually were 5.6GB. A full blown restore is my only recourse.

I think he wants to put in one large drive and keep the other.
He should be able to replace the bad drive and raid will initilize
it and make it the same as the working drive.
