Even though it's processor and max RAM are low by today's standards, these
are still good boxes for low end tasks. They make great DNS servers, web
servers for static pages, FTP servers and backup storage. If it was my box,
I probably wouldn't use it for anything that doesn't involve one or two
specific tasks, as much because of the difficulty finding and installing
software on a mips machine and keeping it secure as the low processor speed
by today's standards (it wasn't exactly lightning fast 4 years ago either).
