To trash incoming email forward it (in the GUI) to "nobody". The GUI will
not let you forward to "/dev/null" but the aliases file configures "nobody"
to forward to "/dev/null". Vacation responses will still be sent even if the
email is being trashed.

The following was clipped from the aliases file on one of our RaQ3s.

# General redirections for pseudo accounts.
bin:            root
daemon:         root
games:          root
ingres:         root
nobody:         /dev/null
system:         root
toor:           root
uucp:           root
